Foot & Ankle Surgeons | London Foot & Ankle Surgery Clinic

The Foot & Ankle Surgery Specialists

The centre uses the experience of the Consultant Podiatric Foot & Ankle Surgeons and the multidisciplinary team to perform corrective foot surgery. We aim to use the latest techniques that aid better recovery and more successful outcomes.

Most modern foot surgery procedures are carried out on day case basis and permit early weight bearing without the use of casts. We use the latest researched, established and evidence based techniques. Whilst bunion and hammer toe surgery are the most common surgically treated conditions in the foot, most conditions can be treated effectively should there be a clinical need.

The foot & ankle is a complex structure with 28 individual bones working together as a masterpiece of engineering. Most foot surgery procedures aim to restore as much of normal function and structure of the foot as possible.

Please visit our extensive patient information area for further information on specific foot conditions and procedures.

Mr. Stephen Strain along side Mr. Kaser Nazir lead the Foot & Ankle surgery service and consults their patients at our Harley Street Clinical Suites & BMI Fitzroy Square Hospital.

NON-SURGICAL TREATMENTS

Conservative treatment of many foot and ankle problems often produces temporary relief of pain. If pain persists, surgery is sometimes the more definitive answer to a persistent problem and the best way to prevent more serious conditions. On the other hand, surgery is not always the best approach for all patients. Your podiatric surgeon can tell if you are an appropriate surgical candidate.

COSMETIC FOOT SURGERY

There is a growing trend in the UK of Cosmetic Foot Surgery for unsightly lumps, bumps, corns, bunion, hammer/claw toes, long 2nd toes etc. Most of these problems cause difficulty with footwear and can cause discomfort. The centre does carry out such surgical procedures for elimination of these problems.
